A Huskie Turned Warrior: Steven Seigo Signs For Glasgow Clan

Corey Neilson has been rebuilding Glasgow Clan as he aims to restore Glasgow Clan to their rightful glory. The Clan roster is looking strong this season with many big names on the roster such as Cole Ully and Nick Prkusic; and Neilson hasn’t stopped there as he has recently signed EC Kassel Huskies Defenseman Steven Seigo.

Steven Seigo played in the DEL2 last season with the EC Kassel Huskies where he was played as a 3rd liner most of the season where fulfilled the role of a two way defenseman. He iced for 49 games where he was a key player when it came to defending short man rushes as his stick checking ability allowed him to easily poke the puck away or lift the players stick up to regain possession, he also scored 16 points which 94% of them being assists which demonstrated his passing ability and offensive awareness.

This signing is good for the Glasgow Clan as Seigo fits perfectly into a defensive pair with Darien Kielb as they share a similar position role. Seigo could be good on the powerplay with his offensive awareness but also fits well into a penalty kill position with his defensive positioning and stick checking ability.

Overall this offseason Corey Neilson has built a strong roster especially a strong defensive core focusing on the ability to win the puck back cleanly and able to make a successful counter attack. Seigo will be a defenseman to watch this season and he’s destined to be a fan favourite.
