Creed Jones is not a name familiar to the EIHL however, his sudden passing has came shock to many fans across the world and EIHL News Central would like to step away from the EIHL to honour Jones life.
Creed Jones born May 31st 2000 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada has sadly been killed in a motorcycle accident in Ottawa. Jones was never a stand out player in his junior career however, the fans of the Gatineau Olympiques knew Jones very well as he was their backup goalie for three seasons.
Jones was a solid backup goalie whether it was in the OJHL, QMJHL or even the USports league. He would ice for a total of 141 games in his entire career where he demonstrated a developing skill in net; stopping shots which shouldn’t be stopped or his ability to deflect the puck away to stop rebounds; if Jones continued his junior form he could of made a good starter in some European leagues.
Jones will be missed by everyone in the hockey world and his on ice performance and off ice laughter will be remembered by many. We would like everyone to join us and the rest of the hockey world in the mourning of his passing. We give our condolences to his family and friends.
