Fife Flyers Sign Maxim Musorov, Reuniting Nomad Astana Trio for 24/25 Season

Head coach Tom Coolen has completed a remarkable signing spree for the Fife Flyers by adding Maxim Musorov to the roster. Musorov, who previously played for Nomad Astana, will be joining his former teammates Nikolai Shulga and Artur Gatiyatov for the upcoming 24/25 season. This strategic move reunites the successful trio that contributed significantly to Nomad Astana's IIHF Continental Cup victory, promising an exciting and competitive season ahead for the Flyers.

Maxim Musorov started his 23/24 season in the KHL with the Barys Astana before moving to the Nomad Astana in the Kazakhstan league. He would ice for 28 games with Barys Astana but only putting up three points; however, it is important to note the KHL is the second best league in the world behind the NHL which means it is the best league in Europe. When he dropped down to the Nomad Astana he would lace up for 17 games putting up 19 points and a +/- score of +10. He was a crucial member of the team in Nomad Astana’s success in the Continental Cup helping them win it by scoring nine points in his six games in it. 


Maxim Musorov brings a wealth of experience to the Fife Flyers, having played four years in the KHL, Europe's top ice hockey league. His time in the KHL, as well as in the VHL and Kazakhstan League, highlights his exceptional skills in skating, passing, and both defensive and offensive play. Musorov's development at these elite levels has shaped him into a highly talented player on the ice, making him a valuable addition to the Flyers' lineup.
