Manchester Storm Preseason: Webcast Overpriced Fans Shout

Manchester Storm set to face the Sheffield Steelers, Nottingham Panthers, Lausitzer Füchse and University of Quebec - Trois - Riviè, and these are for certain going to be good matches for all the teams however, are they going to be so good to charge a fortune for the webcast.

Over the last few seasons it has been expressed by many fans around the EIHL that the quality of the Manchester Storm webcast isn’t up to par with the rest of the league. It is not abnormal for their to be quality differences in the EIHL when it comes to the standards of webcast as we can clearly see differences whether it’s between the Fife Flyers and the Sheffield Steelers or the Coventry Blaze and Nottingham Panthers; there is clear quality differences however, it is noted that the Manchester Storm have the worse rated webcast from the fans in the league.

With being rated on of the poorest webcasts in the league, fans would expect either cheaper prices or an increase in quality however, they haven’t seen that over the last two seasons and now instead of price reduction or announcement of stream quality they have increased their webcast price to £16 a game which is the average price for a league game however, this is the price for a preseason game.

It’s been released that the webcasts will cost £16 and fans are not pleased at all with it. Some fans can be quoted saying they hoped the quality has improved or saying it’s a rip off. Some Storm fans agreeing with other fans around the league about the pricing of the webcast.

To charge so much surely there is new cameras and technology in place so fans can see more of game action. Teams like Sheffield Steelers and Cardiff Devils which have some of the best quality streams are around or less than £16 so it is either a bad move by Storm or a good hint to the future of their stream quality.
