Sheffield Steelers: Flight BC1994 Has Landed As Angelo Miceli Arrives

Teased late at night on the 31st July 2024 a signing was made, confirmed at 06:00 on the 1st August 2024, the Sheffield Steelers had signed Italian forward Angelo Miceli. Aaron Fox has been keeping his signings quiet for awhile now but this one is too good to keep quiet. Miceli joins a strong team ahead of the 24/25 season and here is where he fits into the roster.

Angelo Miceli has played for HC Bolzano in Italy for the last seven seasons where he skated in two leagues one being the ICEHL which is one of the European top flight leagues. Over these years he has played a strong offensive based game which allowed him to score many goals and assist even more. He is a strong skater with golden hands allowing him to glide past his opponents or drag them out with dekes, it is also to be noted he has a strong snapshot which takes players by surprise allowing them to be beaten.

He averaged 27 points per season with HC Bolzano which fits him into the 35 - 55 points sector of point scorers in the EIHL says Aaron Fox, which is completely correct to think with the skill difference between the leagues. He fits into a perfect line with Robert Dowd and Mark Simpson and at a push maybe Mikko Juusola which are all high end players in the league.

Aaron Fox has retained the majority of last season's roster whilst adding strong new players and many two way contracts for the future stars. The Steelers will be a key contender for all three championships and will battle hard against every team as they aim to defend the grand slam. Adding Angelo Miceli is a strong move or the Steelers as he will bring a strong offensive prowess to the squad.
