Versatile Veteran Evan Mosey Returns to Cardiff Devils for Fourth Season: A Force On Both Ends of the Ice.

Every ice hockey fan in the United Kingdom as he is one of the major stars for the team GB squad for the IIHF international tournaments. He is also a well known player around England and Wales for his tenures with the EIHL sides; Sheffield Steelers, Nottingham Panthers and the Cardiff Devils. He most recently played for the Cardiff Devils and he was an unstoppable force on the ice, and fans will be happy to hear that he is back for another year.

Evan Mosey is a versatile veteran on the ice and he fully understands the ins and outs of British ice hockey. Mosey and Pete Russell have a really good relationship as they have been working together for many years now and over time have gotten to know each other so it comes with no surprise that Russell would like him in his squad. Mosey brings a lot of speed to the game whether it is his actual skating or his stick checking ability, Mosey has a good back skating ability too which allows him to keep an eye on the attacking player and the puck while back checking to offer support to his netminder. Mosey also has a powerful wrist shot allowing him to also help his teammates on the offensive end by be able to set up assists by taking shots allowing for his teammates to pick up rebounds as his wrist shot makes it difficult for the goalie to control the rebound, he could also beat goalies with his wristers with most his goals being the stick high side or low glove side.


Evan Mosey has been a valuable addition to the Cardiff Devils organisation during his three seasons (2018-2020 and 2023-2024). He played a pivotal role in helping the team reach the EIHL playoff final in the 2018-2019 season under the guidance of fan-favourite head coach Andrew Lord. During the 2018-2019 playoffs, Mosey recorded a 0.75 point-per-game average, contributing one goal and two assists in four games. Additionally, he was instrumental in the Devils securing a bronze medal in the IIHF Continental Cup. Over his three seasons with the Cardiff Devils, Mosey has played 95 league games, amassing 60 points with 22 goals and 38 assists, resulting in a point-per-game average of 0.63.


Evan Mosey's re-signing with the Cardiff Devils marks a significant boost for the team as they prepare for the upcoming season. His impressive track record, both domestically and internationally, coupled with his versatility and leadership qualities, makes him an indispensable asset on and off the ice. With his return, the Devils can look forward to strengthened defensive plays, dynamic offensive contributions, and invaluable mentorship for younger players.
